President Tinubu brought Ali Nuhu to his government to develop the country’s economy through culture ~ Minister Bagudu
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has sought support from international organizations and stakeholders for the Nigerian Film Commission to develop the country’s economy.
The Minister stated this when the Managing Director/Director General, Dr. Ali Nuhu and senior officers of the agency paid him a courtesy visit at the ministry, on Thursday, in Abuja.
Abubakar Bagudu pointed out that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intends to establish the Ministry of Culture and Economy because he understands that some cultural groups and activities help in the development of the country’s economy.
Therefore, he called on the Director General of NFC to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to benefit from the profession. Bagudu also advised the company to seek cooperation with KOICA of South Korea, Japan and the French embassy, to advance the country’s industry.
The minister called Dr. Ali Nuhu, a Senior Leader in the government to use his expertise in delivering the positive messages of Renewed Hope and the resilience of Nigerians who are always working for a meaningful life.
Speaking, the Director General of NFC, said that the goal is to increase the size of the company’s budget, in order to be able to achieve the projects set in the future. He also pointed out that the increased budget will enable the Commission to maintain public relations offices, improve permanent accommodation, improve the existing staff and hire older staff.
