Role Overview

We are hiring a Public Health Technical Advisor. You will support government and partners in public health financing, especially for Family Planning (FP) and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH).


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice on public health finance for FP/ASRH
  • Manage projects and budgets
  • Support costing, budgeting, spending reviews, and data collection
  • Help raise funds from local public and private sectors for ASRH
  • Monitor and report project progress
  • Guide government partners using research and data
  • Strengthen health systems at national and state levels
  • Safeguard A360 project activities involving adolescent girls and young women

What You Need

Education

  • Master’s degree in Health Policy, Gender Studies, Health Management, Social Sciences, Nursing, or related field

Experience

  • At least 10 years in public health or social development
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or project management role
  • Experience working with governments and donor agencies
  • Strong background in health systems and policy development

Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of Nigeria’s SRH and RMNCH+N policies
  • Familiarity with Human-Centered Design
  • Strong gender and equity knowledge in health programs
  • Good grasp of demographic and human capital issues
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of donor environments (bilateral, multilateral, foundations)
  • Team leadership, training, and mentoring abilities

Technical Competence

  • Programme design and implementation
  • Strategic leadership and team management
  • Donor and stakeholder engagement
  • Planning, budgeting, and financial tracking
  • Knowledge sharing and documentation
