Prenatal care and care for pregnant women is a right for everyone – Ali Nuhu
The Chairman of the Nigerian Film Board and a prominent actor in the KANNYWOOD film industry, Ali Nuhu Muhammad said that parents and the community have a role to play in addressing the high number of women during childbirth and death.
He also explained that the actors in the film production have a role in raising awareness within the community about issues related to the prevention of polio and the challenges faced by children who travel to school by bus.
Ali Nuhu addressed the media following a meeting organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) with stakeholders in Kano. The discussion focused on addressing the challenges of school absenteeism among children, as well as issues facing women and other related concerns. This meeting took place on Tuesday.
He said that as a UNICEF ambassador, they can do their best to raise awareness among the community.
“Being a UNICEF global ambassador, I do many things with them. And I will continue to play a role. I am informing on social media, all the information that is available to me I am trying to convey.
Ali Nuhu also appealed to parents to take care of their children’s vaccinations where he explained that prevention is better than medicine.
